 What started as a massive hole in the ground became Tasmania's largest BigW store last week and it's just down the road from our place. To celebrate they put on a fireworks display that we thought might be a little bit average, but was definitely well worth standing around in the cold for. Unfortunately we chose to buy some stuff on Saturday. That was a huge mistake. There were stacks of people there and we ended up in a self serve queue. Those stupid self serve machines have been custom designed to frustrate and annoy even the most patient person. Ours kept telling us to put stuff in the bags even though the stuff was already in the bags. Putting more stuff in the bags just made it angry. Geeez!
