Comments gone mad

I receive an email every time someone leaves a comment on Tasweb, but I hadn't seen any email's for a long time. I've only just discovered them all sitting in my gmail spam folder. Sorry to those people that have commented on stories that aren't on the front page as I simply haven't seen them. Sorry also to those people that may have read some dodgy comments. I usually clean up anything unsavory straight away.

I got my first comment spam the other day on my diary. Strange, because my site doesn't really appear in Google/Yahoo anywhere. But it was a single post with lots of stupid links in it.

I'm a bit worried it was a "test the waters" post and that some machine will come back and post 5000 spams.

That's what I thought had happened to your site when I read the title.

I havn't really seen spam. The Guestbook cops a bit of that every now and then, but having the funky graphical catchpa thing even for registered users on story comments seems to nail it fairly well. My problem is that gmail keeps marking my comment emails as spam so I've missed heaps.
