I've started swimming again so I've been trying to eat healthy, but I worked overtime all day yesterday (public holiday) and just couldn't be bothered so I called into the drive through at KFC Kingston. I'm not big on KFC, but Brad and Emma don't mind it every now and then, but almost every time we go to that store they stuff something up. Those that have known me for the past couple of years will know that I've mellowed a lot and it takes quite a bit to get me worked up these days, but last night I complained! It will be interesting to see if they bother to reply!
"I would like to complain about the service I received at this store tonight. I drove up to the drive through window (only one car in front of me) to find a young guy leaning back against a bench or something with one foot up on the counter. I had to wait for him to return to a standing position before I could talk to him and even then he did not look at me once as I ordered. He looked very arogant and didn't seem to want to be bothered with me or his work. He was wearing a thin white plastic apron so I assume he was going to go back and handle food after he finished handling money. There was a very long wait as the car in front had ordered three bags of food (not KFC's fault). The young girl that served me raced up to the window with the wrong box and a can of Pepsi, handed it to me, said "thanks" then turned and left before I could tell her it wasn't my order. There was no apology for the wait. I opened the box (I wasn't given a bag) expecting to find chicken pieces as it wasn't an Extreme burger box but it seemed to contain my food. She still didn't come back so I left.
When I got to the beach to eat my food I found that the Pepsi was completly warm. It didn't feel as if it had been in a fridge at all. There was no spoon in the box so I couldn't eat the potatoe and gravey. The chicken was a lump of greasy bone and batter. I couldn't identify which part of the chicken it was from and I couldn't find a single edible piece of meat on it. Because I wasn't given my food in a bag there were no paper towels to wipe off the grease from the battered boney thing. The chips wern't very hot and were very soggy and limp, but the burger and potatoe were fine (I used the limp chips to try to scoop the potatoe out).
I have never complained about anything like this before, but I'm sick of being treated like scum by arogant young kids at KFC who seem to think that the rest of us owe them a living.
It will be a long time before I buy another KFC meal."
