Damn, Google thinks this is a Kiwi web site. That wouldn't be too bad if I was still living there, but I'm not and now if anyone uses www.google.com.au and clicks the "pages from Australia" button then Tasweb won't show up. It's all because I chose a .org domain (not .org.au) for Tasweb and I've moved the actual web site to a server in Napier New Zealand. I'm not about to change the domain name, and I'm real happy with the hosting that TiM has provided for me so I'll just have to deal with it I guess, but I've noticed that no one much comes here anymore after searching for "Australian free stuff" or "Australian competitions" and I reckon thats because of the geographical problem! Those people were supporting the advertisers so it's costing me much needed clicks at the moment.
It's the last night of the Hobart Regatta tonight and the fireworks have been going off. I could hear them, but I couldn't see them because there is a dirty great hill in the way. I was becomming used to the booming until it all changed. There was a very different noise that just kept on going. I went outside to check and there was a huge glowing thing rising up into the sky. It went way waaaay up (much higher than any fireworks) then poof - it disappeared, but I could still hear the noise. It could have been a UFO, but I reckon it was a jet or something. Those wind up things the Roulettes use couldn't do that (the rubber band would melt) but I guess it could have been one of their fancier toys.
