Wicked, our new helicopter arrived a few days ago. A mate at my work (Jason) had been telling me about these cool little radio control helicopters that he wanted. They had the full range of controls (variable pitch etc) and could do all of the acrobatics (even fly upside down), but they were a bit too expensive for me. I started poking around on the net and found these tiny little versions. They don't have a variable pitch blade so they don't do the cool stuff, but they are sooooo much fun! You can buy the original version from a few Australian websites for about $70 plus postage and I nearly went ahead and bought one, but I thought I'd check out Ebay first. They have cheap copies of the original for about half the price. I missed out on half a dozen before I finally won an auction at a cheap price. I paid only $25.50 including postage! They are the coolest things. It only weighs 10 grams and yet it is radio controlled with a flashing light and two motors etc. I just dunno how they can build them that cheap. Brad and Emma have heaps of fun flying it around the lounge room. At one stage Brad was using my head as a landing strip.
